TDI Trimix Diver
Use helium-based breathing gases for staged decompression dives to 60 metres, without the effects of narcosis.
The TDI Trimix course trains divers to safely and confidently use breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression. You learn to apply nitrox and oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres.
The course teaches the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for using custom oxygen, helium and nitrogen gas mixes. All gas mixes must contain at least 18% oxygen and a minimum of 25% helium. Recognised as an advanced technical diver certification, it focuses on rescue and self-rescue skills using four tanks, similar to the Extended Range course but without the effects of narcosis. With our warm, clear water and deep walls on Gili Trawangan, it is an ideal place to make your first helium dives.
