TDI Nitrox Diver
Your first step into mixed gas diving. Dive longer and safer on enriched air up to 40% oxygen.
The TDI Nitrox Diver course is the first of TDI’s technical diving courses and your first step into the world of mixed gas diving. It is extremely popular with recreational divers looking to stay down longer by reducing nitrogen loading during the dive.
This certification allows you to plan dives to your existing depth qualification using any mix of nitrox (enriched air) up to 40% oxygen content. We run it year-round at our base on Gili Trawangan, Indonesia, and in Dahab, Egypt, and it is the ideal foundation before progressing to Advanced Nitrox and your first decompression training.
What you'll learn
- The physiology and benefits of breathing enriched air nitrox
- How to analyse a cylinder and verify your oxygen content
- Calculating maximum operating depth (MOD) and oxygen exposure limits
- Planning repetitive dives with reduced nitrogen loading
Prerequisites
- Minimum age 18, or 15 with parental consent
- Open Water Diver certification, or current enrolment in an Open Water course
What's included
- TDI Nitrox Diver certification on completion
- Classroom theory and gas analysis sessions
- Two training dives on enriched air
