JJ-CCR Mixed Gas Diver
Intermediate CCR certification for mixed gas diving to 60 metres on the JJ-CCR.
This is the intermediate-level certification course for divers wishing to use a CCR for mixed gas diving. The objective is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for mixed gas diving on the unit-specific CCR, using a mixed gas diluent containing 16 percent or greater oxygen.
You develop intermediate CCR diving skills appropriate to technical diving to a maximum depth of 60 metres. If you have 50 hours on another CCR unit recognised by TDI, only 25 hours and 25 dives are required to be on the JJ-CCR specifically.
What you'll learn
- Mixed gas diving on the JJ-CCR using a diluent of 16% oxygen or greater
- Benefits, hazards and proper procedures for mixed gas CCR diving
- Intermediate CCR skills appropriate to technical diving to 60 metres
- Diluent selection and gas planning for helium-based loops
Prerequisites
- Minimum 50 rebreather hours over 50 dives on the unit (25/25 if 50 hours on another recognised CCR)
- At least 20 dives deeper than 30 metres and 10 requiring staged decompression
- TDI Air Diluent Decompression / CCR Helitrox Diluent Decompression Diver or equivalent
What's included
- TDI JJ-CCR Mixed Gas certification on completion
